Mr. Wanek is the founder, president and CEO of Datatrac, a market research company specializing in the banking industry.

Datatrac monitors deposit and lending rates for over 20,000 financial institutions nationwide and is the exclusive provider of interest rate data for professional organizations including the American Bankers Association (ABA), the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU), the Financial Managers Society (FMS) and various other organizations. Datatrac's rate information has been quoted in newspapers, television and websites nationwide, including USA Today, CBS MarketWatch, Consumer's Digest, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, the American Banker, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Datatrac was founded in 1988 by Mr. Wanek at the age of twenty-one. The company is privately owned and headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Prior to launching Datatrac, Mr. Wanek was the Director of Financial Planning for a Milwaukee-based accounting firm. He has held various professional licenses in securities and insurance including Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) representative and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Mr. Wanek is past chairman of the annual Wisconsin Entrepreneur Conference and past President and founding member of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO). He has also been appointed for two terms by Governor Doyle to serve on the Wisconsin Development Fund Board, an organization that provides several million dollars annually to help fund businesses expanding their operations in Wisconsin. Mr. Wanek has been a long term contributor to Junior Achievement and is passionate about assisting youth entrepreneurs.

Mr. Wanek's hobbies include motorcycling, sailing, music, exercise and reading biographies of inspirational leaders and personalities. He is 40 years old, single and does not have any children.

Mr. Wanek attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at the age of sixteen and completed his degree in financial planning from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.
